FUNERAL COSTS
At a difficult time for families, we at Emslie Collier Funeral Directors understand that for many the cost of a funeral is difficult to meet and is often not anticipated. Our focus is to adopt a flexible approach, while performing and maintaining a high level of customer care. Over the years we have found it rewarding working alongside the local community and we strive to make it easier for families to speak to us about any matters relating to our services.
We have continually upheld a high level of facilities including our own Chapel Of Rest, vehicles, equipment and training. We are members of SAIF and NAFD ensuring that we adhere to all current codes of practice and our working ethos is in line with current professional practices.
Our Funeral charges are well within professional standards and we try to take an open approach when discussing pricing and encourage clients to ask any questions in relation to costs. Each and every funeral arranged is unique and therefore costs do vary.
STANDARDISED PRICE LIST
Attended Funeral
Our charges to include the services and supervision arranging and conducting Funeral, including appropriate advice and guidance, completion of documentation, liaison with all third parties. Use of rest room; transfer, care and dressing of deceased. Secretarial works and the provision of a hearse, provision of a basic wood veneered coffin. Please note this includes no such service at our Chapel Of Rest and no viewing within our Rest Rooms.
Pricing starts from £1,920.
(Foil coffin £574.00, Transfer and preperation of deceased £288.00, Professional fee £788, Hearse £270).
Crematorium charges: Parkgrove Crematorium (Friockheim) £1220, Aberdeen £809, Dundee £1,150, Balddaroch Crematorium (Banchory) £850.
Total of Funeral Director’s charge as shown and Baldarroch Crematorium fees Attended Funeral: £2,770.

Burial Charges: Attended and non-attended.
Angus Council Resident £772.60, Non-Resident £1543.40.
Aberdeenshire Resident £1091, Non-Resident £2,179.
Non Attended Funeral Directors Charge: £1,288 plus Angus Council burial: £772.60. Total:2,060.60
Please note prices can change annually.
For a new grave, you will also need to pay for the plot; and perpetuity fee if not held at time of interment £357.40 at Angus Council. In addition, the cemetery may charge a number of other fees.
The above cost does not restrict to additional requirements including additional services such as limousine car hires, insertion of newspaper notices, purchase of markers, scattering tubes, hymn sheets/service cards, service recordings.
NON ATTENDED CREMATIONS
Non Attended Cremations
Where no ceremony is provided, we can arrange for this at a time of the Funeral Directors and Crematorium’s convenience. Inclusive of this would be funeral directors handling of all necessary documentation excluding registration and all services inclusive of the “simple funeral”. We appreciate that some families may wish to add additional services which we can help with.
Funeral Directors charges: £1,288.
There are other low cost options which can be discussed.
Crematorium Charges: Parkgrove Crematroium (Friockheim) £520 No-one in attendance(NIA).
Aberdeen Crematorium £684 NIA.
Dundee: £499 NIA.
Baldarroch Crematorium (Banchory) £435.
